Ben Klock

Born in Schöneberg, Germany in 1972, Ben Klock is a highly respected German disc jockey and record producer known for his distinctive contributions to electronic music. Emerging from the Berlin club scene in the mid-nineties, Klock experienced a period of disillusionment with the prevailing Minimal/Micro House wave in the early 2000s, nearly stepping away from DJing altogether. However, his residency at the iconic Berghain club, beginning in 2005, proved to be a pivotal moment. The immense creative freedom and extended playing times offered by Berghain reignited his passion for Techno, shaping his signature sound. Klock's DJ sets are often characterized as hard-hitting and intense, yet always imbued with a sense of emotion and depth, earning him a reputation for playing "Hard but always with a Heart." He is also the founder and curator of the Klockworks record label, which serves as an important platform for his own productions and releases from other artists. His work released through labels like Ostgut Ton and his own Klockworks has cemented his status within the electronic music community.
